The DLP has been lucky enough to secure 3 workshops with Mr P ICT. These events will be held virtually and are available for all staff with the DLP to access.

At our staff day on 24 October 2025 our focus was Neurodiversity in the Classroom and Playground (with a particular focus on emotional school avoidance and refusal to attend school). This event was held at St Thomas’, Leesfield CE Primary School.
We again had two speakers – Aimee Cave, Formally National Training Officer, ADHD Foundation Neurodiversity Charity who is now a self-employed consultant. Aimee spoke about Behind the Behaviour: Understanding School Non-Attendance, Emotional Regulation & The Impact of Neurodiversity. She was followed by Lisa Gaunt, Primary Outreach Officer, Kingsland School whose theme was Behaviour as Communication; Understanding how behaviour presents in school and strategies that help.
The staff event for 2026 will be held on 23 October 2026.


A half day whole staff event for the DLP took place on 25 October 2024 at Saddleworth School. This year’s focus was Closing the Gap.
We were lucky to have two fabulous speakers Navdeep Sanghara who is the CEO of Woodlands Trust. Nav started her career in education as a Teaching Assistant and so had a unique viewpoint across all aspects of education. Her particular passion is Building Compassionate and Inclusive Learning Communities and Mark Wrangles who is the Director of Close the Gaps who spoke to us about The Importance of a Therapeutic Approach.


A half day whole staff event for the DLP took place on 20th October 2023 at Saddleworth School. This years focus was Adaptive Teaching and Creating an Inclusive Learning Environment. Thank you to the guest speakers Colin Foley and Abigail Hawkins.
